EMECIA // Something Epic This Ways Comes

From the deepest depths of Adelaide’s underground comes Emecia, ready to break down post-hardcore barriers with a mirage of hot new sound.

From their forthcoming debut album Familiar Spirits, the band have today announced the release of their second single Sleepers and released a funky creative lyric video to accompany. It’s the second single released from the album, following the single Victims which was premiered via AAA Backstage.

These guys have guts. Emecia are an entity breathing as one and have done so since their inception in 2013. Their debut EP Pariah set their sound in stone, Emecia bursting through the gates of their home city in support slots with the likes of Bless The Fall, Like Moths To Flames and The Colour Morale. With the release of their single Legacies back in 2016, the first offering from the upcoming album, Emecia broke into an entirely new platform with a run of east coast shows and the video for the song receiving airplay on MTV Australia.

New single Sleepers’ bold noise matches the song’s bold lyrics, all splayed across the screen in the official lyrics video, available now. A montage of vibrant Japanese art-inspired images distort the screen and captures the very colour and life of Emecia.

The foursome will celebrate the release of Sleepers at Adelaide’s Jive Nightclub on 6th April, where a few of their mates, Colour & Shade, Kings Within, The Vestige and Old Ghosts, will also be launching new material.
