Hysteria are proud to premiere the latest video from Melbourne hardcore outfit Alpha Wolf.  The single release of #104 also coincides with the announcement of their signing to DIY label Greyscale Records, who also signed Brisbane’s Deadlights only days ago.

Premiered today on triple j by The Racket’s Lochlan Watt, #104 follows Nail Biter as a taste of what Alpha Wolf has in store.

Speaking on the track, vocalist Aidan Ellaz explains,#104 is about the loss of a loved family figure, the desperation that comes with it and also how it affects reconnecting with the real world when all feels very black and white. Death bites hard, this song was written to bite harder.”

Guitarist Sabian Lynch says of finding their way through their teething period, “It took us (Alpha Wolf) a few years to find ourselves. A year ago we recruited Scottie Simpson on guitar, who also bought a great songwriting approach to the table, we can’t express how much he basically saved us. Then of course we got Aidan Ellaz on board who has brought with him much creativity and experience within the vocal and lyrical realm. Nail Biter gave our listeners a first little taste. It was actually written before Aidan had joined, he helped with lyrics and vocal placement but it wasn’t truly a song written by all of us at once.”

#104 is the first full song we’ve written together as this lineup which we couldn’t be more happy with how it has turned out. It’s a rather big stepping stone and we are very excited for the future.”

Nail Biter has clocked up over 75,000 social views since release. They’ll also be supporting death metal specialists Aversions Crown and Boris The Blade on their Xenocidal Warpath tour this June.
