Dutch self-described symphonic rock outfit Within Temptation are back with a new single and the details for their seventh studio album.
Titled Resist, the album is set for a 14 December release via Vertigo/Caroline Australia.
It aims at reinvigorating their rock sound with meaning and darkness in the hopes to give “modern music its rebellious edge”.
No strangers to diverting from their status quo and altering their sound (rapper Xzibit guesting on a track, anyone?), the band has teased what you can expect for album through their new single The Reckoning.
Featuring Jacoby Shaddix (Papa Roach) the single is a heavy hitter, with a one, two punch of heavy riffs and a hook that’s bound to be stuck in your head for a few hours. Listen to it now via Spotify, or watch the lyric video below, or here.
