Killing Saturday is their turn toward the rockier side of punk, still with two feet planted in their signature sound.

“Combined we’ve played everything from metal to Motown, disco to jazz, indie to psychobilly, but we’ve returned to our beloved punk rock roots with The Way We Were,” says bassist Ryan Pedlow.

The boys will launch Killing Saturday at Brisbane’s Flamin’ Galah on 20th January, supported by local acts Friends With The Enemy and WolfWolfWolf.

As for the vibe of the band, veteran BNE scenester Richard Jackson sums it up: “We want people to feel the energy of the songs, the fun and excitement we feel making music. If it makes you want to dance that’s great and if you happen to take something away from the songs that’s even better.”

The four-piece have toured the east coast many times, both supporting acts such as Teenage Bottlerocket, Nekromantix, Columbus, and The Dead Love, and headlining in their own right. They also released two EPs in 2016.
