As Flaming Wrekage’s brutal fourth album tickles your earholes, you know this is something special. …
Perth prog prodigies Voyager have announced a national tour along with their newest film clip for Ascension. Watch below:
The clip for Voyager’s newest single Ascension was unleashed into world last night. It features a bright Andy Warhol feel, bringing pops of colour to a usually dark and moody genre.
The Voyager boys have been quite busy recently, having announced their album Ghost Mile back in February. Now they’re hitting fans with more prog-heavy treats!
Ascension has been featured on many radio shows such as Hysteria’s own Hard Noise, Andrew Haug Radio, and plastered all over triple j.
Drummer Ashley Doodkorte says the tracks on Ghost Mile embrace some of the more idiosyncratic aspects of their playing and songwriting. “All of us are pushing our instrumentation to places they haven’t visited as much in the past, while still maintaining the hallmarks of our sound.”
As if all this goodness isn’t enough, the band has also announced their album tour set to kick off around the country in May. The guys are bringing along French djent/prog/dubstep masters, The Algorithm.
Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday 10 March via Voyager’s website.
Their Pledge Music campaign to complete Ghost Mile has hit 89% of their target in only one week! You can pledge and pre-order the album, here.
