SKYHARBOR // Premiere First Video Ahead Of Their New Album

From Indian-American metalcore mavericks Skyharbor comes a brand new video for their current single, Dim.

With an exclusive first look of the mesmerising visuals made available through Alternative Press, this is the first video we’ve been given for material from the band’s upcoming LP, Sunshine Dust, out in September.

In the video, Skyharbor rock out through the changes of the cosmos, their sound coursing through time. Hypnotic vocalisations enveloping you, mind, body and soul, before tinkering guitar licks build to an explosion of electrifying noise. It’s poetry in motion and a welcome fresh sound on the scene.

Guitarist Keshav Dhar said of the video, “It was an amazing experience filming a video together for the first time as a band, and we hope you all enjoy it as much as we did making it!” Vocalist Eric Emery added, Dim is one of my favourite songs on the record and I can’t wait to share the video with everyone.

“Thematically, the song alludes to the volatile current political climate in the US, as well as exploring what our potential future could look like should we continue down this road.”

Almost four years in the making, Sunshine Dust is the outfit’s third full-length release, recorded right here in Australia by renowned producer Forrester Savell. This collaboration has resulted in a breathtaking shift in groove and ambience, though with none of that atmospheric emotion from previous releases sacrificed.

Skyharbor have manipulated the otherwise standard elements of metalcore to present their music with technicality dexterity and grace, reshaping the very face of sound with a sometimes gentle, but mostly brutal, force.

Sunshine Dust is out on September 7 via Entertainment One.
