Tonight Alive has released their brand new single Crack My Heart today. This is the second single from their upcoming album Underworld, set for release in a month’s time, on 12 January.
On the track, singer Jenna McDougall states: “The concept of cracking the heart is to allow the precious, vulnerable self to come through and be free. The painful, yet liberating experience involves the emotional and energetic decalcification of the hardened heart.”
According to a statement, “the content for the upcoming album Underworld is the most personal work the band have ever put forth. The album is filled with moments that pushed the band on new levels emotionally and creatively.”
The album also has some guest vocal performances from Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour) and Lynn Gunn (PVRIS) on the tracks My Underworld and Disappear.
The lead single from the upcoming release, Temple, was shared with fans earlier in the year. Temple comes from a time when McDougall was experiencing severe depression and fatigue. Despite being an energetic track, the lyrics give you insight into how she was entrapped in being sick on all levels of mind, body and soul.
Underworld is available for pre-order via 24Hundred and iTunes.
Tonight Alive will be appearing at the sold out UNIFY Gathering 2018.
