As Halloween looms, Emo-Prince Gerard Way has sent our spooky souls into a frenzy with a teasing taster of his new track, Baby You’re A Haunted House.

The former My Chemical Romance (RIP) frontman posted a still picture of the video on his Instagram three days ago, stirring up hype and excitement in the music community. With nothing more than the ghost emoji as a caption, we could only speculate as to what was coming.

Today we have our answer! Earlier this morning, Way uploaded a short and spicy video to his Instagram, an excerpt of a video clip for a new track, and included a far more telling caption: ‘New Single “Baby You’re A Haunted House” out 10/26!’

In the hour that the post has been live it’s been viewed more than 170,000 times. It may have been four years since Way’s last album release with Hesitant Alien, but with a fanbase as strong as his it’s no surprise they’ve embraced the teaser with open arms.

The clip only gives us a small insight into what we can expect, but we’re definitely getting some Welcome To The Black Parade vibes from those skeleton masks – a great contrast to the bopity rock we came to love with Hesitant Alien.

A busy man, Gerard has kept his fans happy over those 4 years with the release of his comic series The Umbrella Academy, co-writing and providing vocals for tracks with other bands, and appearances at Conventions like WonderCon.

The recent release of his latest comic instalment, The Umbrella Academy: Hotel Oblivion, the confirmation of the Netflix adaptation release date and now this teaser has got us all drooling for Gerard.
