WINDWAKER // Release New Single ‘New Infinite’

Melbourne based metalcore outfit Windwaker have released the first taste of their new music, dropping an all-out assault of a single titled New Infinite and a film clip to match.

The release is a proudly independent effort and follows that of the band’s debut EP Fade, dropped in May 2017. Speaking of the track, vocalist Will King says:

“Having written 80% of Fade before entering the studio, we felt we had the capacity to write our next release completely independently, but the big question between us all was whether we were able to tackle the technical aspects ourselves–the production, the engineering, mixing & mastering.”

King went on to say:

“For the past year and a half, we have all been working very hard to achieve that. Tracking New Infinite in our band space, with the exception of recording drums with Declan White at his studio, this is a song that was written and produced by Windwaker, mixed and mastered by our drummer, Chris Lalic.”

Off the back of the new track the Melbournians, who first formed in Wagga Wagga, have announced a string of headlining tour dates throughout New South Wales. The tour will be supported by Our Anchored Hearts and Rumours, and will feature a host of local supports on each leg. It will hit up venues in Albury, Sydney, Central Coast and Wagga Wagga this month.

New Infinite is now available here.

Windwaker are Will King (vocals), Liam Guinane (guitar), Jesse Crofts (guitar), Indey Salvestro (bass) and Chris Lalic (drums).
