UNIFY GATHERING // Your Guide To The 2019 Line-Up

Now that Red Hill Entertainment has released the official line-up for 2019’s UNIFY Gathering, we can rejoice to the fact that some of the names mentioned on the “obviously fake” poster have actually made the cut for next year’s line-up.

The 29-band showcase will take place over two nights, with headline performances from Taking Back Sunday, Underøath, Karnivool and … *cue drum roll* the reunion of I Killed The Prom Queen’s 2005 legendary line-up! Rad. With a total of 19 homegrown bands on the bill, it’s no wonder we Aussie’s are stoked  about our one and only heavy music camping festival.

For the first night of the event, we’ve got headliners Underøath playing an exclusive Australian performance with their 2018 release, Erase Me. Karnivool will be playing their first east coast show since 2016. Wild! There are also exclusive Australian performances by While She Sleeps, Crossfaith, The Plot in You and Dream State. Hand of Mercy will be playing an exclusive one-off reunion show during the evening. Then throw Dream on Dreamer, Drown This City, Ocean Sleeper and Better Half into the mix and boom! There’s your opening night.

Saturday will undoubtedly see some sore heads preparing themselves for another run of unmissable performances with headliners Taking Back Sunday playing Tell All Your Friends (2002) in full, which will sure as shit make us all feel old. There’s also I Killed The Prom Queen who are banding back together for the occasion to commemorate the 15 year anniversary of their one and only album under this line-up, When Goodbye Meets Forever.

We’re also gonna cop an Australian exclusive from State Champs, with Turnstile playing amongst Aussie names such as; Citizen, WAAX, Clowns, Endless Heights, Harms Way, Stand Atlantic, Thornhill, PAGAN, Gravemind, After Touch and Yours Truly.

There’s also a brand-spankin’ new site for UNIFY Gathering’s fifth year which will take place over between 11–13 January 2019. A slight shuffle on down, the grounds will now be laid out on the fresh greens just five kilometres from the premises of the festival’s spiritual home in Tarwin Lower, South Gippsland, Victoria. It’s only a two-hour drive from Melbourne and a 15-minute drive from neighbouring glory, Venus Bay. Beeeautiful.
