UNDEROATH // The Rapturous Return of Underoath

Hardcore juggernauts Underoath have premiered their new single Rapture as part of the upcoming album titled Erase Me, released on the 6th of April via Fearless Records/Caroline Australia.

The single takes a slightly electronic direction but remains true to the Underoath heavy guitar tones that earned them the respect of their fans.

Rapture also boasts a visually tantalizing Roman Polanski influenced music video that fuses extravagant lighting, faces gaged in painting as well as an energetic performance by singer Spencer Chamberlin and co. The band’s visual component is an important part of their songwriting and gives the fans a unique package combining audio punch and visual spectacle.

Erase Me will be the bands 6th studio album alongside an already impressive catalogue that has garnered the band’s two gold albums for They’re Only Chasing Safety and Define The Great Line, a couple of Grammy nominations and a number 2 billboard chart position for the latter album.

After a 6 year gap between the album Ø (Disambiguation) and their 2016 Rebirth Tour, the band reunited and successfully returned to the live circuit, this prompted them to get back into the studio and write some fresh and exciting new songs, resulting in a solid and highly anticipated come-back album. Producer Matt Squire (Panic At The Disco! And 3OH!) and engineer Ken Andrews (Failure, Jimmy Eat World) worked with the Tampa outfit on Erase Me during last year’s northern summer. Fans who have waited 8 years for a new Underoath album will be rewarded for their patience very soon. The new single and accompanying music video, showcase the band’s desire to explore a step further into their trademark style. Hopefully a tour down under is also in their plans for this year but the wait is almost over so get ready for some hardcore mayhem!
