THE PLAGUE // PREMIERE—World-Shattering ‘Make Me Over’ Lyric Video

We’re proud to premiere the new lyric video by New York state post-apocalyptic rockers The Plague, Make Me Over. Soak up the radioactive vibes below:

Self-described ‘futurepunks’, The Plague have been on a mission to “spread a message of hope and to rebel against self-destructive ideals,” according to a statement. Make Me Over is the latest single taken from their debut album Hope For the F.U.T.U.R.E, out 13th October via Recover Records.

The man calling shots in the engine room is frontman and producer David Adam Monroe. Monroe has worked alongside Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols) and Earl Cohen (Lady Gaga, Pink, Jessica Simpson). He’s also been an A&R rep for Victory and Torque records. He formerly fronted rock band Third Estate. Third Estate toured alongside Story Of The Year, Yellowcard, and My Chemical Romance, and appeared on Warped Tour 2002-06.

Make Me Over is about how life can throw you curveballs that expose your weaknesses and help you grow,” says Monroe. “Sometimes the hardest thing to do in difficult times is celebrate the wisdom that you’re getting from the situation.  This song is about celebrating forces beyond your control guiding you to being a better person.  In my life, all the best things that happened to me, whether it be my relationships with friends and family or perspective that I’ve gotten overtime, have been a result of things that I didn’t plan.  When I take a step back, I can appreciate the pain that I’ve been through in my life and I thank God for it.”

While out on this year’s Warped Tour, the band distributed 22,000 samplers including their singles Fallen, Not The Only One, and Danger, which charted on the iTunes Top 50 Hot Tracks. All proceeds were donated to the Music Saves Lives foundation.

You can pre-order the album here.
