Seven piece New Jersey boys Streetlight Manifesto are making their long awaited return to Australia for the first time in nearly seven years. And they’re bringing their good friend Dan Potthast along for the ride!

Part rock, part punk, part ska, jazz, fusion, folk, & world with some classical thrown in; Streetlight Manifesto have re-defined what most people expect from a ska band. Bringing an infectious blend of energy and fun to the stage, the Streetlight boys are sure to light up Australian fans with their catchy rhythms, clever lyrics, unrelenting tempo’s and toe-tapping sense of urgency!

Formed fifteen years ago from the ashes of two of New Jersey’s biggest ska veterans of the 90’s, Catch 22 and One Cool Guy. Streetlight Manifesto originally formed as an ad-hoc group intended to put out one album and disappear. One thing lead to another and within a few months of their debut release Everything Goes Numb, Streetlight Manifesto were officially a full time touring band travelling the world. Spreading their infectious and energetic tunes to all who would listen.

Three albums later, and after countless worldwide tours, the guys are still at it. Still performing live to sold out venues filled with sweat drenched fans, all dancing and singing along at the top of their lungs, and the Streetlight boys wouldn’t have it any other way!

Of all the various compliments Streetlight Manifesto have received from fans over the years, there is one in particular that seems to resonate most with the members of the band. After a show, a kid in torn jeans and a Pantera shirt, sporting ridiculous facial hair, would find one of the Streetlighters outside of the club to say hello, followed by “Man, I don’t listen to this kind of music, in fact I hate most ska bands, but you guys are something else.” Or seeing the jazz fan, sitting in the back of the venue during the set, bobbing his head, eyes closed while the band does their thing on stage. Therein lies Streetlight Manifesto’s level of mass appeal.

Seven guys, seven different musical backgrounds, seven different personalities, one band, one unique and unmistakable voice. Catch Streetlight Manifesto & Dan Potthast live on their Distant Horizons Australian Tour this June!
