Australian metalcore up-and-comers Stories have called it a day.

The band’ will go on “indefinite break” after their tour Australia with British lads, Enter Shikari.

Reasons as to why the Sydney quintet will split are unclear, but a statement on Facebook points to member’s focusing on personal passions and opportunities.

The band was signed to UNFD in January 2014, and quickly made a name for themselves with their debut album release The Youth To Become.

In their early twenties, Stories showed the Australian hard/metalcore scene what musical ambitions could be achieved despite their young age.

Take their word for it:

“Words can’t describe the beautiful moments we’ve experienced throughout the duration of this band. Music is magic in its ability to bring people together and enlighten us all in unique ways. You have all played a part in this journey, one that can never be recreated.”

The band will play a final Sydney show later in the year, with details to be announced soon.

Catch them and Enter Shikari on tour next month around the country.

Thanks for the incredible music, Stories.
