A whole ~one~ day before they kick off a stint on the last ever Vans Warped Tour, pop-punk mecca Real Friends have dropped two Hiroshima sized bombshells on us.

The first is that their long-awaited third album, Composure, is going to hit shelves in UNDER A MONTH! The ten-track opus will land on Friday, July 13th via Fearless Records and Caroline Australia. It comes two years after the Illinois fivesome dropped their game-changing Home Inside My Head album, and as the band explain, LP3 is their most calculated release to date.
“We have never put this much time and effort into a record,” says bassist Kyle Fasel. “Composure is everything we’ve always come up short on. We focused more on melodies than ever before. We focused more on the overall emotional climate of each song than ever before. I truly think that every song on the record stands on its own. But when all the songs come together it creates our best effort to date.”
Composure was produced by pop-punk mainstay Mike Green (The Aces, All Time Low, Paramore), and according to a press release, “the album explores an emotionally mature side to the rock group, touching on mental health, being accepted, and above all, learning to love yourself.”
In addition to the album news, the band dropped not one, but two juicy new singles in From The Outside and Smiling On The Surface.
Real Friends were slated to visit Australia in support of Simple Plan‘s recent album tour, however they withdrew from the run mere weeks before it kicked off. Needless to say, they’d be making it up in a heartbeat if we saw a new set of tour dates hit our desks …
