For the first time in over two decades, NYC post-hardcore legends Quicksand will release a new album, titled Interiors. You can catch new single Illuminant right here:
The album will see release on 10 November through Epitaph Records.
Interiors features the band’s original lineup of drummer Alan Cage, frontman/guitarist Walter Schreifels (Gorilla Biscuits, Rival Schools), bassist Sergio Vega (Deftones), and guitarist Tom Capone. It was recorded at Studio 4 Recording in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. Interiors was produced and engineered by Will Yip (The Menzingers, Title Fight, Pianos Become the Teeth).
This album serves as the long (long LONG) awaited follow-up to 1995’s Billboard charting Manic Compression, named the #1 Best Post-Hardcore Records List by LA Weekly.
“We were very influenced by Fugazi and Jane’s Addiction” says Schreifels explaining the band’s beginnings. “But we were doing it in a certain context with an energy that was just special and unique and kind of shined through.”
