NEWS: BAD JUJU // Explosive News Of Their Debut Album And Tour

How can you have a name like Bad Juju when so many great things are happening to you?

Yes, Bad Juju have a seemingly inappropriate name today as they announce the release of their debut EP Hidden Desires and the addition of current single Moving On to Triple J Full Rotation.

It ain’t nothing but good omens for the Melbourne grunge rockers. Recently the Triple J Unearthed Feature Artist, Bad Juju have announced the release of their EP to coincide with their upcoming support slot with Trophy Eyes at Workers Club, Melbourne. The fates will follow the quartet after that as they head out on a run of headline shows.

The Triple J favourite, Moving On, joins previous singles Bloom and Run Away, a central theme of escape and misunderstanding running through each song that will continue in the rest of the EP. “The record is themed around the idea that you can never truly know what is happening inside another person’s head,” the band have said. “They can seem fine on the outside and hide their true self.”

“Hidden Desire explores how people deal with loss, anxiety, and depression, but moves into pushing these issues aside and trying to change our lives for the better, thinking positively going forward.”

An eclectic blend of 90s grunge and hard-hitting punk-rock, Bad Juju are making a name for themselves as a band who know how to make an entrance and formulate a sound that doesn’t veer away from their former ties with the heavy scene.

In true Bad Juju style, the band will release Hidden Desire on Friday 13 July.
