So if you’re a dinosaur fanatic like myself, you’ve probably been following all of the teasers released this week in the lead up to the trailer for Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom.
We’d seen new dinosaurs, volcanic eruptions and baby raptors, but today fans were finally treated to the official trailer. And I would say that they spared no expense!

Several things we already knew have been confirmed in the official trailer. The volcano on Isla Nublar is erupting, Dr Ian Malcolm will be returning and Blue the Velociraptor and Rexy (the fan-given name for the original Jurassic Park T-rex) are both still alive.
As the fifth installment in what has become a legacy, there are high standards set for Fallen Kingdom. But going off the trailer, it looks like the franchises’ new director JA Bayona has created a movie that Michael Crichton himself would be excited to see.
There’s still a lot of unanswered questions about the plot of the film. We don’t know for sure if the dinosaurs end up getting off Isla Sorna, although seeing Rexy in a shipping container makes you think they do, and we don’t know how much of the movie will be centered around Chris Pratt’s character Owen Grady and his raptor, Blue.
But what good is it if you show all your cards to early?
All in all the trailer has already seen an incredible response on social media platforms and with only six months and two weeks (yes I have a countdown on my phone) until the release of the movie, there’s no doubt that the hype will continue to grow.
