Hundredth, well known for their melodic hardcore stylings, are promising a new direction with their just-announced record Rare.
According to a press release, when faced with writing their new record due out June 16 through Hopeless/Unified, “[t]he band had nothing left to give hardcore and the time had come to evolve or end.”
Teasing fans with their latest single ‘Neurotic’, the band have taken themselves in a shoegaze/post-punk direction; think Balance and Composure or Title Fight. It’s a sharp left turn from their last record statement Free, but Hundredth had slightly hinted in the direction with 2016 single Dead Weight.
