HOLLOW WORLD // Drop ‘The Walking Dead’ Style Video for ‘Wildfire’

Their ears still ringing after supporting Fallujah at Melbourne’s iconic Workers’ Club, metal face-rippers Hollow World have dropped a TheWalking Dead inspired video for new single Wildfire, taken from upcoming album Exanimate.

Exanimate is a rare dual-wield concept album. One story centres on super-virus that wipes out the human race. The second story is of the human race being a virus that wipes out the world – rendering it uninhabitable. Both twist and take aim at one another as the album grinds on.

“Instrumentally we have all grown more in-tune with each other and created more of a distinguished ‘sound’ that is Hollow World,” says vocalist Ben Roberts in a statement. “It’s fast, it’s melodic, it’s heavy, it’s savage and it’s relentless. It’s 40 odd minutes of extreme melodic death metal that we could not be more proud of.”

Hollow World has shared the stage with Plini, At The Gates, Ne Obliviscaris, Psycroptic, King Parrot, Be’lakor, Boris the Blade, Make Them Suffer, Bleeding Through, Frankenbok and ROME.

Ermin Hamidovic from Systematic Productions (Devin Townsend Project, Periphery, Betraying the Martyrs) produced, engineered, mixed and mastered the album.

The band will embark on a national tour with Sydney metallers Daemon Pyre and Tassie’s Zeolite to support the album through March and April.
