HEY BABY! // Release New Single ‘Kids’

Brisbane-via-Blue Mountains four-piece Hey Baby! have released their new single Kids.

It’s another slice of sun-soaked garage-tinged indie-punk from the outfit; overdriven vocals, and playful guitars that instantly puts them in the mosh with bands like Dune Rats, Skegss and FIDLAR.

The song Kids plays an important role in the band’s history; it was written about frontman Kacper Majchrowski’s experience moving from the Blue Mountains to Brisbane, and bassist Daniel “Chicken” Chlonta was inspired to join the band after hearing a demo for the song.

This song is the first taste of new music from Hey Baby! since the release of their last single 1-800 WEED.

Hey Baby! are a band that have been in the works for over eight years now. First realised when Majchrowski discovered home recording aged 16, the band entered a new phase of its existence when Majchrowski made the decision to move from the Blue Mountains to Brisbane.

Since then, the band has played with the likes of Dear Seattle and HOON as well as appearing at Mountain Goat Valley Crawl.

To celebrate the single’s release, Hey Baby! are heading down the east coast of Australia in March and April. They kick off at Rad Bar in Wollongong on Thursday 22 March, before doing two shows in Sydney on the weekend; Friday 23 March at The Valve Bar, and Saturday 23 March at The Record Crate.

From there, the band hit The Old Bar in Melbourne on March 29, The Bearded Lady in Brisbane on April 12, and finish up at Mo’s Desert Club House on The Gold Coast on April 27. Tickets for all these shows are available on the door.
