HARD NOISE: SEPULTURA // To Re-Release ‘Chaos A.D.’ and ‘Roots’

sepultura expanded

In a neat dovetail with the upcoming Return to Roots tour, Warner Music is re-releasing expanded and remastered editions of Sepultura’s most celebrated albums: Chaos A.D. and Roots.

The Expanded Editions will feature rare and unreleased studio recordings including covers, instrumentals, demos, and live performances.

1993’s Chaos A.D. and 1996’s Roots pushed Brazilian metallers Sepultura into the world heavy music spotlight. The latter sold two million copies worldwide.

The new Chaos A.D. will include a cover of Black Sabbath’s Symptom Of The Universe originally issued as a B-side, plus nine live versions of album tracks like Territory and Biotech Is Godzilla. Also featured are several unreleased instrumental tracks that the band used during rehearsals for Clenched Fist and Propaganda.

Expanded Roots features a newly remastered version of the original album, plus 17 bonus tracks. Also on the discs are demos for Dusted and Roots Bloody Roots, instrumental versions of Dictatorshit and Cutthroat, a version of Attitude recorded live at Ozzfest, and the unreleased first take of Kaiowas.

Chaos A.D. will be released on the 6th of October on both CD and LP. You can pre-order it here.

Roots will be released on 3rd of November in the same formats. Pre-order it here.
