HARD NOISE: RINGS OF SATURN // Drop New Video Clip

Rings of Saturn

Guitar music majors to the front! Bay area tech-death legends Rings Of Saturn are back with a new single and video clip (not a playthrough though, sorry guys!)

The single, titled Parallel Shift, holds true to the band’s roots with all manor of djenty chugs, machine kicks, china hits, and bloodthirsty grunts.

Despite the trademark technical intensity that runs throughout the track, there is an emphasis on the slower, more brutal side of the band’s sound, with every reverse snare effect signalling a shift down in tempo.

It wouldn’t be an authentic djent release without an alien themed video to accompany it, and the band have responded in style, teaming up with director Scott Rudd to produce a lyric video bursting at the seams with exploding planets, bloodthirsty extraterrestrials and crashing spaceships.

“I’m really excited about the music video for our new song”, says guitarist and founder Lucas Mann.

“He (Rudd) is very talented and I love his animation work. I feel it brings our crazy album art to life.” Watch the video in all it’s trippy glory below.

Decapitated Anticult

The album in question is the band’s fourth record Ultu Ulla, due for release on July 28th.

Parallel Shift is the second single released ahead of the full album, with Inadequate dropping last week. There’s a music video for that too, but we recommend checking out the guitar and drum playthroughs first, just to prove that they can really pull it off.
