American progressive-metallers The Contortionist are returning to tour Australia, bringing British djent-pioneers SikTh.

The band have announced a run of dates in support of their 2017 album Clairvoyant, an album we at Hysteria loved, describing it as “haunting, ethereal and gloriously introspective, Clairvoyant is an album that demands to be felt rather than heard”.
The Contortionist’s last visit was in 2016 when they toured with Sydney post-rockers sleepmakeswaves.
If the prospect of hearing their new album wasn’t exciting enough, the band will joined by SikTh, who will be making their debut Australian live performances on this tour.

SikTh were originally active from 1999-2008, releasing two inspired albums of mathcore before breaking up. The band reformed in 2013, releasing two more albums, including last year’s The Future In Whose Eyes?
