GOOD THINGS FESTIVAL // Mystery Revealed With First Band Announcement

Popping up like GABBO in Springfield, we saw Good Things posters slapped across walls in east coast capital cities this week with no explanation; we can now confirm it’s Australia’s newest music festival, hitting our shores in December.

Festival organisers have confirmed venues and dates: Friday the 7th December at the Melbourne Showgrounds, Saturday the 8th of December at Parramatta Park in Sydney, and Sunday the 9th of December at the Brisbane Showgrounds.

Keeping a level of intrigue up, organisers have decided to keep the full line-up under wraps until Thursday 23 August at 11am (AEST.) However, they have confirmed Blackpool pop-punk scrappers Boston Manor will be the first among the Good Things.

Their appearance will support second album Welcome To The Neighbourhood, due out 7th September via Pure Noise Records. Produced by Mike Sapone (Taking Back Sunday, Mayday Parade, Public Enemy), it’s a “soundtrack to disenfranchisement set in a fictionalised version of the band’s hometown,” according to a statement. They’ve released single Bad Machine as a teaser, the video of which you can view below.

You can keep on top of Good Things by following their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Organisers added that fans “won’t be disappointed as Good Things are coming.”
