THE GLOOM IN THE CORNER // Unleash New Single, ‘Rodent’

The Gloom in the Corner

Hysteria is proud to premiere the latest single from Melbourne metalcore outfit The Gloom In The Corner.

Entitled Rodent, the track is a follow up to one of our favourite under-the-radar records of 2016, Fear Me. Engineered by Scottie Simpson and Michael Duffield, as well as mixed and mastered by the former, the group have paired the new single with a live video, filmed by Sabian Lynch (of Alpha Wolf) and Jackson Webster (Wolves In The Woodwork Visuals).

Rodent directly follows the story of Fear Me, which fans will surely be able to pick apart as they did with the band’s debut record. According to the band, the track introduces the main character from Fear Me’s brother, who’s returned from war to the aftermath of what happened during the previous record. We’re told “Rodent was his call sign given to him by his squad mates during his tours,” which is sure to create an engaging new narrative.
