The cultish Swedes were infamous for their anonymity until just recently when their front man revealed to the world that he was Tobias Forge. With each new release the band’s costume design, album covers, hyper narratives and highly entertaining music videos become even more grand and tantalising. Vocal duties for the upcoming album will be taken care of by the band’s new front man Cardinal Copia who exceeds the previous front man’s demented and twisted looks not to mention his wicked Broadway style dance moves!

The themes and topics on Prequelle cover the dark ages, the apocalypse and the plague. The album attempts to represent the times we’re living in and to create a soundtrack that reflects the current state of the world. If the new single Rats is anything to go by, expect songs that sound hellish, spectacular and accessible all at the same time. The bands cinematic approach to writing songs is what makes them stand out from the many acts who pose as Satan worshippers.

Over the last few years Ghost have been honoured with a Grammy for best metal performance, a top 10 entrance into the U.S Billboard charts with their previous album Meliora and a number 1 position on Billboard’s top rock albums and hard rock albums charts for their 2016 E.P of pop covers Popestar. Their remarkable climb to stardom has made them an international sensation playing everything from major festivals around the world to performing on CBS’s The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The album is available for pre-order through JB-Hi-Fi and iTunes Store alongside the single Rats which is available to be streamed and downloaded via Spotify, Apple Music and Google Play.
