FAR AWAY STABLES // Listen To New Album ‘Between Rage and Serenity’ Now!

Five years in the making, Sydney’s Far Away Stables have finally brought us their debut album Between Rage and Serenity. You can stream it right now ahead of tomorrow’s release!

Though they’ve been on the scene for a while, Far Away Stables plan to really turn heads with the release of their debut album Between Rage and Serenity. 

Having gained a solid following from supporting Australian & International bands, the guys in FAS are hoping that their album will solidify their spot in the world of rock n’ roll.

“Originally this was going to be our second EP but then we thought, it’s too big a concept to just have five songs when we have ideas for ten more songs,” says bassist Tim Byles. “That’s when we decided to make our first album come to fruition.”

“We’ve had the concept for what seems like years so it did change between when we first started [writing] and now. But the overall theme that’s never changed is around polarity. Definitely the idea of Yin and Yang, black and white, and the spectrum of self-concepts between rage and serenity. That’s we wanted to explore.”

Formed in January 2012, early fans of the group have been waiting five years for this album to drop. So why the wait?

“You only get one chance to release a debut album. It wasn’t so much that we wanted to wait, but we didn’t rush through it either,” Tim says.

Obviously a band that has worked hard, we can’t wait to see if it all pays off for them.

They’ll be playing in Melbourne at Bang! on Saturday, 3rd June. Sydney fans can check out Far Away Stables themselves at the album’s release show, 9th June at the Red Rattler Theatre.
