FAN GIRL // Share Video For ‘Small Town’

Melburnian six-piece filth-rock combo Fan Girl have released their new video for Small Town, featuring Broden Kelly of Aunty Donna (ABC TV) fame. Watch below:

The video drop coincides with their debut album announcement: Elephant Room will see release on Friday 23rd March via Caroline Australia.

They’ll also launch the LP with shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

On the track, Fan Girl states: “Small Town was born out of one of the first ideas for the project, and was one of the last songs to be finished. It is our attempt at writing an adventurous pop song, without the tradition pop song structure. Fuelled by late night ramen and regret (like most things), ‘Small Town’ is about deliriously charming yet vacuous people, and a night that goes pear-shaped. It really shouldn’t work, and it probably doesn’t.”

Fan Girl aren’t your typical band, beginning life as a concept in the minds of Melbourne musician Vincent McIntyre and collaborator Jack Wood.  They’re now six musicians, including frontman Noah Harris, Dominic Buckham, Luke Thomas, and Krish Soorkia.

Though only a year or so old, they’ve played along with Ecca Vandal, British India, Catfish & The Bottlemen, Birds Of Tokyo and The Vines.
