British genre-ignorers Enter Shikari have revealed a new track from their much anticipated record The Spark, set for release on 22 September.

The hot track Rabble Rouser, premiered fittingly on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show as the Hottest Record in the World, is a change of pace for the usual erratic stylings of the UK group. It follows the first single from the new record Live Outside, which premiered early last month.

Vocalist Rou Reynolds says of the new track: “I see Rabble Rouser as putting music to my job description. Bringing people together and getting them rowdy and energised. The track’s influenced by the plethora of genres that I was lucky enough to grow up with; from jungle to garage, to grime, to dubstep. I can’t wait to play this live”.

According to a press release, the band’s new record will be “their most melodic and personal to date.” The Spark follows the band’s critically acclaimed The Mindsweep, which the band took to our shores in September last year and we hailed the group as “quite simply one of the best live acts in the world. Not just now, but of all time.”
