In case you thought that delightfully underground and whimsically noisy music genre they call shoegaze was defunct in anyway, Brisbane’s Deafcult are soaring in with a sensational new album to remind you otherwise.
With their debut album Auras set to drop June 30, Deafcult have announced today the release of the video to accompany second single ‘Summertime’, the lead single from the new album and follow up to first single Rubix. One of the more upbeat tracks on Auras, the single combines steady guitar work layered with pop sensibilities, a delightful contrast to the scuzzy elements of the video.
The album’s release comes alongside a string of celebratory shows by the sextet up and down the east coast over the next two months with some very special guests in tow, including Horror My Friend and TV Haze.
