DANCE GAVIN DANCE // Release New Track ‘Care’

Dance Gavin Dance have released the Max Moore directed video for their beautifully delicate yet widely chaotic track, Care.

In classic Dance Gavin Dance fashion, the track defies genre categorisation and instead uses equal parts of intensity and melody to create its own unique identity. Meshing the soulful R&B highs of Tillian Pearson with the guttural chaos that is heavy vocalist Jon Mess (who essentially fronts the genre of turtleneck core in the clip), Care tells the story of an old connection and the aftermath of the long lasting and unwanted scars it’s left behind.

The track is another cut off the Sacramento outfits forthcoming studio album, titled Artificial Selection. It follows the release of the tracks, Son of Robot and Midnight Crusade. All three releases will feature on the bands eighth LP, which will contain a total of 14 tracks.

Artificial Selection is set to be released on June eighth via Rise Records/BMG Australia and will see the band continue on the same trajectory established on 2016’s Mothership. The record was produced by the group themselves, as well as Kris Crummett, Erik Ron and Dryw Owens, who have all put their own spin on countless alternative records throughout the years.

In the meantime, you can pre-order Artificial Selection from all major outlets and take a look at the track listing below. If our review is anything to go by (which you can read over here by the way), this is definitely a record you don’t want to sleep on.
