CURSED EARTH // Play UNIFY Without Jazmine Luders

Perth’s darlings of the scene Cursed Earth hit the stage at UNIFY Gathering in Gippsland, Victoria over the weekend, with the absence of vocalist Jazmine Luders a talking point around the festival and in metal circles around Australia.

Mark Poida of Brisbane deathcore outfit Aversions Crown filled in on-stage for Jazmine during their set. So far, there has been no explanation from the band or their label and management as to why.

Luders was accused of abusing an ex-girlfriend in 2017 by numerous online sources. A source told us that UNIFY attendees were talking about the incident, though this hear-say has yet to be confirmed.

Now however, with her absence at UNIFY and rumours swirling that she has been removed as the frontwoman of the band for reasons unknown, there will no doubt be some more information coming to light as we continue our investigation.

The Cursed Earth Facebook still lists Jazmine as the band’s vocalist, however.

The band and Jazmine have not as yet responded to our request for comments.

More to come.
