CLOWNS // Release New Single and Tour Dates

Back again with a big message and an even bigger sound, Clowns has delivered the good news of a whopper tune and tour dates!

A crazy mix of up-beat guitars and thrashing drums, along with roaring punk vocals, Clowns have released their newest track Freezing in the Sun. The political-punk piece, accompanied by a harmonious chorus is surely the start of something even better than before. It is no doubt a striking track, with the lyrics “Tell me what the fuck I am supposed to do/When I know my taxes are paying for kids to be held in Nauru … ”, as it is so similar yet still so different lyrically, compared to other tunes released by the five-piece.

In juxtaposition to images of corrupt systems and deranged news stories in the eyes of a strong female character, the music video for Freezing in the Sun is the right amount of “I don’t want to look away” imagery that pushes you to find out what happens next. Featuring cameos by Nikki Brumen from Pagan, Wayne “Slatts” Slattery from King Parrot, comedian Johnathan Schuster and all of the Clowns band members, Freezing in the Sun is still the upbeat, punchy tune it appears to be, despite the dark themes of the lyrics and the music video.

Unstoppable and ready to take on another tour, Clowns are hitting Australian venues after their massive 23 date tour throughout Europe. Named the Freezing in the Sun Australian Tour, Clowns are bringing along the strong four-piece, female punk band VOIID for a stellar line-up.

With the Freezing in the Sun Australian Tour starting late September through to early October, there really is no stopping Clowns and their roaring punk sound, as they are only getting better, evident by their 3 critically acclaimed albums and an 8 year career that doesn’t look like it will ever end.
