CAUTION:THIEVES // Drop New Cut ‘Years on the Precipice’

Today Melbourne post-hardcore rising stars Caution:Thieves drop their new song Years on the Precipice from upcoming four-track EP Songs From the Great Divide, arriving Friday 31 March. Stream below:

The band tracked the EP at Complex Studios with Roman Koester (Deez Nuts, I Killed the Prom Queen, Red Shore). Ryan Furlott from Rain City Audio mixed the EP (It Prevails). Mike Kalajian (Saosin, Circa Survive, Hail The Sun) mastered the recording.

Previous single A Greater Sense of Self dropped in August 2016, earning accolades and airplay from triple j’s Unearthed radio station.

According to a statement by the band, Years on the Precipice talks about the need to move forward rather than holding onto grievances that can only continue to hinder any progress in life. Vocalist Nicholas Simonsen says “I used to be someone who would say things like ‘I wish I could’ve done this differently’, but then I realised that there is nothing to gain from the things I can’t change. Our first record was me trying to get rid of a lot of pain and anguish, whereas with this record I am talking about the future and moving forward.”

Pre-orders will become available on Friday 10 February at Caution: Thieves webstore, on iTunes and other online music retailers.
