August Burns Red have today released their second single from their upcoming album Phantom Anthem, set for release 6 October via Caroline Australia.
The Frost, and its accompanying video, is cool, biting and fierce. August Burns Red slaughter their instruments amidst a snowstorm, the frosts melting away as the fires of melody ravage on.
This is the second single released by the metalcore band after lead single Invisible Enemy. That single as well was accompanied by a startlingly imaginative music video which sees August Burns Red weirdly featured as 3D marionette versions of themselves, each detail accurate to a tee. Director Samuel Halleen accurately captured the band’s presence and energy in a unique pairing of unusual visuals and ferocious metal.
Phantom Anthem is the band’s seventh studio album and follows up 2015 Found In Far Away Places. It earned the band a GRAMMY nomination for Best Metal Performance that same year.
