As part of the acoustic tour, the singer-songwriter will bring tracks from his acclaimed solo releases to the stage. Fans of a little throwback need not worry though; as Andrew McMahon will also play fan favourites from both his seminal rock group, Something Corporate and his alt rock outfit, Jack’s Mannequin.

The tour will have a limited string of dates, making stops in two cities. Andrew McMahon will visit both Sydney and Melbourne, hitting up the Factory Theatre and Max Watts. It will be the first time he has visited our shores since dropping his brightly textured second record, Zombies on Broadway.

The follow up to his eponymous debut was born out of a cathartic trip to New York, which saw the vocalist battle his inner demons.

Speaking of the inspiration behind the LP, Andrew McMahon said:

“The songs took on the mood of what my life felt like in that time, everything from a beautiful sense of celebration to being completely exhausted and wondering when I was going to come up for air.”

With the release feeling like a personal journal, fans down under can expect an intimate experience with one of the industries finest.

Select touring will hold a special early pre-sale for the shows. It will kick off on Wednesday 23rd May at 9am local time and can be accessed with a sign up here.

Tickets for the general public will go on sale on Friday 25th May at 9am local time and will also be available via Select Touring.

An Acoustic Evening with Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness dates:

Wednesday 19th September // The Factory Theatre // Sydney
Thursday 20th September // Max Watt’s // Melbourne
